She found that by encouraging others to hit the gym, eat healthier, and stay away from negative influences, she was able to attract like-minded individuals who supported her on her journey towards healing. Salami emphasises, ‘By doing things together that were good for our physical and mental health, I was able to build a strong network of supportive people who helped me on my journey.’ For those who are struggling to break the cycle of neglect in their own lives, Salami offers valuable advice. She emphasises the importance of developing interaction skills, learning how to communicate effectively with others, and prioritising self-care and mental health. Salami suggests, ‘It’s important to learn how to communicate effectively with others and to prioritise self-care and mental health.
